If You Were My Daughter, Part 3

#1) Who Are You Willing To Learn From?

We can’t learn from someone we resent….

Who do I admire?

Who inspires me?

Who knows and values your authenticity–your difference?

Don’t waste your energy searching when someone close to you knows the answer.

Don’t be stupid.

There’s no one weaker than a non-reacher.

The more conversations you have, the more you’ll learn.

Inventory your present property.

What are 5 other options that’ll cost you nothing at all.

The purpose of waiting is to gather information.

Mentorship is learning from someone else’s pain.

Mentorship is learning without the wait.

When you ask enough questions you attract the right answers.

Pain is the proof of the wrong questions.

Pain is the proof of disorder.

Who are 10 people who can learn from?

What questions should I be asking them?

What qualities in your father do you admire?

What qualities do you wish your husband would have?

A man’s goals reveal what he values.

Where has your father failed?
Where has he succeeded?

What are you learning from your mother?

What is her advice that I’ve ignored?

In the Book of Proverbs, it deals a lot with listening.

The last words Jesus spoke, “Hear what the Spirit is saying…”

Listen to where your parents had failures.

What do they wish they’d done differently?

What do they wish they’d done differently with money?

There’s no persuasion like experience.

A day without regret is a day you’ve made no discoveries.

Every day you should feel stupid about something, because that is where you learned.

The greater your discovery, the deeper your pain.

Who are you not learning from that you should be learning from?

Don’t try to learn everything from one person.

The electric company doesn’t furnish me water.
The water company doesn’t furnish me a car.

Ask someone / your parents to tell you what mistakes do you think I’m making?

What topic do you want to master?

#2) Do You Really Believe in the Word of God?

Have you really settled the Bible in your heart?

Do you really believe Jesus is the Son of God?

Until you’re persuaded about the power,
and the presence of God, to make your life right–
everything that you’re battling can destroy you.

You must settle that–you’ve got to settle that.

Embrace the God of your parents until something greater affects you.

#3) The Ability To Say No

Men will desire you for different reasons, and when it’s all said and done:
If somebody is pursuing you, they want something.

They want a reaction, a result, a good thought, your wisdom, your favor.

Reaching is the seed for relationship, knowledge, change.

Why is this person calling me?

Even God, He wants something.

He wants me to choose His path , He wants to be chosen.

When a man pursues you, he wants something.

He may want admiration.

He may want confirmation of what he’s thinking.

Don’t let anybody kid you–you can’t “have it all”.

If God Himself cannot “have it all”, do you think you can?
No. Don’t be fooled into thinking you can “have it all”.

So you choose what brings you joy, pleasure.

Choose some small pleasures.

If you can’t buy a new house, go buy an ice cream cone.

And then make them routine–every day.

Make small pleasures your life, every day.

If you can’t get the new car, go spend $10 on a book.

[repeat this prayer]
Holy Spirit, I am a searcher for uncommon wisdom. Holy Spirit, I am Your protege. Reveal mentorship opportunities to me. I will not reject wisdom. I embrace wisdom.

Father, give me understanding of unspoken agendas. When people are pursuing me, help me to discern what they want from me. Heal my mind. Heal my memories. And do business through me on the earth.

In the matchless name of Jesus.

Unity And A Fresh Anointing Experienced in South Africa.

Wed 05-01-13

Dr. Murdock has just flown in to Durban, South Africa,
>> 10 Million people
>> about 400 miles from the 50 Million people city of
Johannesburg, South Africa
>> one hour flight

The church Dr. Murdock spoke at, where about 50 Pastors were in attendance, is headed by Bishop Basel Tryon
>> An very unusual, very remarkable man
>> He has very remarkable prophetic giftings
>> He has a strong “pull” on the prosperity message
>> And he has a hatred for the poverty of Africa
>> He (Bishop Tryon) talked about the wealth inherent to Africa, all of the gold and diamonds embedded in the land itself.
>> And the “grab everything and go” mentality–as opposed to the “sowing and reaping” mindset has led to poverty-stricken results for much of Africa.

Dr. Murdock came so close to canceling this last stop in Africa [for this trip], but didn’t realize the importance that they (South Africa) had placed on it.

He was just so homesick, and could hardly take it any more.

In all honesty, there’s a lot of discomfort travel
[especially when it’s work-related, and not leisure…!]

Dr. Murdock loves the hospitality he’s received, namely on this trip.

This area [Durban] is the where the Zulu tribe is,
and there’s 9 official languages in this region as well.

There was a remarkable anointing there:
Dr. Murdock says he’s never walked into an atmosphere with this same anointing, this palpable “glory”.

It was very…disciplined.

All of the people looked to the Bishop as a spiritual father.

They all referenced him as “Dad”.

Dr. Murdock has never heard singing, or seen worship, and dancing–not on that scale.

Not “sensual” dancing, but the most remarkable, graceful dancing.

Dr. Murdock wants to be a “professional” learner.

He tells everybody that’s what he does for a living:
“I’m a professional learner.” 🙂

You really have to be open to things unlike yourself.

Discomfort shouldn’t be a lifestyle, but it should be a seed to sow.

To taste, to see, to access a new anointing.

A new way of doing things.
A new way of viewing things.

Billy Graham’s book about his real persuasion
that there were humans on other planets.

We have a need for “new”.

At this church in Durban, there was an unexplainable level of this unique, new anointing.

Dr. Murdock says he was not only comfortable with it, but he didn’t want to leave it.

It was a way of worship….

They had a choir, and then 30-40 young dancers…

They worshipped for a solid hour, hour and a half.

What arrested Dr. Murdock’s attention was the *unity*.

He’d never seen such unity in his lifetime.

All their eyes were closed.

They all smiled when they were rejoicing.

It was unlike anything he’d ever seen.

There are many anointing and movements of God.

Revelation 4:11 (KJV) – Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Everything was created for God’s pleasure.

God really likes change.

Right at the beginning of Genesis, God first “created”, and then the Holy Spirit’s self-description: “He moved…”

It would be horrible to live on the earth, and only taste water, or only taste an egg.

Yet, many times in the spirit world, we limit our experience to only what we’re familiar with.

I don’t want to be that limited at any level of my life.

Discomfort at first?

Yes, because you’re evaluating, you’re looking at the different kind of music.

But *joy* will tell you a lot, when it’s present.

Joy is an exclamation on what’s right & wrong.

God has arranged us to feel a heaviness in our spirit when something is wrong.

And to feel a freedom in our spirit when something is right.

Right and wrong produce very different emotions.

It was 3 of the most glorious days of Dr. Murdock’s life–in the realm of seeing God move in a different way.

What You’re Willing To Walk Away From Determines What God Will Bring To You.

Live from Abuja, (the capitol of) Nigeria

Thursday Church By Phone 04-18-13

Happy 67th Birthday Dr. Murdock…!

“The emptied life”
>> everything we have came from God

The God you know about is the God that becomes your message.

Expect a harvest.

Expect a miracle.

You are one person away from tomorrow.

The future starts with a seed.

God does not schedule seasons by a calendar.
God schedules seasons by decisions.

What you’re willing to walk away from
determines what God will bring to you.

Presence is the greatest seed you can sow.

Presence is all of you: your voice, your mind,
your money, your thoughts, your energy, your inspiration.

And when you do not see that seed grow, you remove yourself.

You enter your seed into the soil that shows honor.

God will talk to you in the places that you obey Him.

Again:

notes

What you’re willing to walk away from
determines what God’ll bring to you.

Remember the $200 Stein’s clothes money that
Dr. Murdock, when he was in his early 20’s, sowed
into David George’s ministry when God told him to.

One week later, all the way up until now [for about
45 years!]: people have bought Dr. Murdock clothes,
all over the world.

What are you willing to walk away from in
order to advance the Kingdom of God?

What money have you been setting
aside for a new house, a new car…?

Samson was unwilling to walk away from Delilah,
and they plucked his eyes out ,and it eventually
cost him his life.

The widow of Zarephath walked away from her &
her son’s last meal, and God supernaturally fed her
and her son throughout the entire famine.

There’s no hope for a non-tither because
you won’t walk away from 10 cents to
satisfy the command of God.

Dr. Murdock asked, God why are
so many Christians broke?

God said, Because they steal from Me–
every paycheck–they steal from Me.

God only requested the 10% to
cure the potential for greed.

Family Harvest, Dr. Rob Thompson’s church in Chicago:

Dr. Murdock was sitting there listening to a man of God preach.

He said, “If you want a debt-free house, plant a seed equal to your
monthly mortgage on your house. Hold it in your left hand, slap it
3 times. Write on your check, ‘I want a debt-free house’. God will
give you a debt-free house in 12 months.”

Dr. Murdock figured, in his mind, There is no way God can give me
a debt-free house in 12 months. He owed thousands of dollars….

But he slapped it [that seed] 3 times and
in 8 months his house was debt-free.

What you’re willing to walk away from
determines what God will bring to you.

Dr. Murdock received a royalty check for
$5,000 when he was 36 years old, and was
watching tv, where Jim Bakker was talking
about sowing a $1,000 seed.

Dr. Murdock heard God say, I want you to plant a $1,000 seed.

He didn’t have a chair in his house.
He didn’t have a table. Sheets tacked
over his windows….

That day he planted his first $1,000 seed.

That was on a Wednesday. PTL network in North Carolina.

Sunday night a man walks up to him after church,
“God told me to give you a rare automobile. There’s
only 19 of them in the world. I have the first serial #
of the 19 cars.” And he gave Dr. Murdock the car.

Tuesday night, a man met him at lunch and said,
“God woke me up last night and said, ‘Bless Mike
Murdock’s ministry,’ ” and handed him a check for
$10,000.

The following Saturday he flew to New Orleans, Louisiana.

He preached at the First Assembly of God
church for Marvin Garmond, 1,300 pastors
were there that Sunday night.

Dr. Murdock had the $10,000 check in his pocket
from the man he’d had lunch with Tuesday.

And God said, “I want you to plant
that $10,000 that man gave you.”

Dr. Murdock could not believe it.

This was less than 12 days since that Wednesday when
he had just planted his first $1,000 seed.

And he thought, God, this is my harvest…!

Remember God–remember God? I gave that $1,000 seed,
and this is my harvest…!

And the Holy Spirit spoke clearly, “It may be 1-2 years before I give you
another $10,000 seed. Can you wait that long for the harvest?”

And Dr. Murdock gave the whole $10,000 Sunday night.

Wednesday Paul Crouch called him from TBN, and said,
“Mike, Jan and I have been talking about your ministry.
We will pay for you to take a tv program. We will air it
4 times a week on Trinity Broadcasting Network.”

Thursday, Jim Bakker called, “God spoke to Tammy and I to sponsor your
tv program on PTL. I will give you Thursday night, prime time,
9:30pm–free. For as long as you want it.”

Out of those free tv programs, Dr. Murdock has built his worldwide ministry,
with millions of dollars now having come through it.

From that $10,000 seed.

Dr. Murdock has never gone back to poverty since then.

If God won’t listen to money, tell me what He listens to.

🙂

A Surprise Conversation #6 – Expect A Divine Encounter

A Surprise Conversation
Sunday night 04-07-13
Church By Phone

Praise God.

Hello family.

Pastor Jeremy Mills (at the Wisdom Center)
and Miss Amy Lira are joining us on the call:

And they’re going to share about “a surprise conversation”.

Dr. Murdock says he’s feeling our prayers. 🙂

Yesterday, flew to Tulsa, OK and had a 1-hour mtg
with the ministry’s partners.

And then flew on to Kansas City, MO

Where Chris & his Pastor, Robert Malone.
Michael Salazar’s father brought his car
and Michael, his wife, and father were
just a blessing.

An hour and 45minutes late, Dr. Murdock
got to Omaha, NE at 8:45pm, and
everybody waited, and they went til 10:15pm.

Pastor Kenneth Davis is a fire-house for God,
what a blessing this morning.

Dr. Murdock would like for us to pray over the
North Korea threat, and for our leaders.

By the way, tomorrow Dr. Murdock will launch his
podcast – where he’ll do his “World View”
>> He’s a very keen viewer of world events.
>> There’s more going on than we know.
>> But there could be a surprise conversation
that silences this.

Dr. Murdock asks that we come into agreement with
him that the Lord “let the disloyal bring disruption”.

Father, I come boldly to Your throne tonight on behalf of
our world. I ask You to give President Obama, all of the
leaders connected to the Free World. Put a “Daniel” close
to their ear. We come into covenant that the shield of
loyalty would be stripped from North Korea. Take the lid
off the mutiny–and let there be such a stripping away of
protection, that this escalation of hatred towards South
Korea–I ask for a swift interception of their nuclear threat.
I ask, in the Name of Jesus, that a Christian intercede.
We ask that you would silence this demonic man that is
full of demon spirits. Give the President of South Korea
great wisdom. Give courage to our President Obama. And
allow him to be bold–and cover with the Blood, our Christians
in Israel, our Christians in South Korea. I ask that You give
the Christians in South Korea profound wisdom, knowing that
their brethren around the world are praying for them. We’ve
got preachers right now in South Korea under constant threat.
I ask that you give protection to the underground churches
in China. Father, I ask that every leader in China would
have an awakening of their conscience–and of every man
that’s ever been in Your Presence. I decree surprise conversations
in South Korea. I decree surprise conversations in Jesus’s Name.
Amen. Praise God.

It’s real important to learn how to talk to God effectively.

If you’re going to be effective, be clear–be specific in what you want.

Just like “taking the hedge” of protection off of North Korea.

A word is a “door” or a “wall”.

Every word you speak is a door or a wall.

Your conversations close doors or they open doors.

Develop a meticulous sensitivity about what you discuss with God.

Dr. Murdock’s asked Pastor Jeremy, and
Miss Amy Lira to join us here on Church By Phone.

By the way, in the next 48 hours, until Dr. Murdock leaves
Tuesday, any partner who sows a seed of $100 or more
on the website will receive the entire collection on a
Surprise Conversation.

You are one conversation away
from a miracle every day of your life.

God schedules miracles by conversations of expectation.

The well of Samaria–an entire city was saved.

One conversation took place with Phillip.

Spirit-filled men initiate conversation.

Spirit-filled leaders initiate questions.

Remember: a question is a door.

Until you ask questions, others control your life.

Nothing matters as much as a question.

A question proves your passion, documents your honor.
A question is proof of humility because it proves you’re
reaching. And a reacher creates changes.

The most helpless human in the world is a non-reacher.

You can create a suprise conversation with an apology.

You can call somebody you owe a debt to, have a surprise
conversation and ask to change the details of the contract.

Every husband should have a surpirse conversation with his wife
to explain the secrets of his heart.

I know that every person cannot be trusted.

You must be careful of trusting the wrong person:
99% of the problems in life come through trusting
an unworthy person.

Don’t trust the wrong person with your secrets.

But there’s something very powerful about a surprise conversation.

…tonight is critial for somebody.

A surprise conversation can stop a suicide attempt.
A surprise conversation can stop pain, remove cancer.
A surprise conversation can take the cloud of depression
off of your life.

Dr. Murdock doesn’t do well with silence.
He longs for meaningful, trustworthy, significant conversation.

Is there anything more satisfying than a meaningful conversation
with someone you can trust?

The most comforting place on earth is in the presence of
a non-dangerous person.

You may need to reassure somebody.

God gave Dr. Murdock a surprise conversation
about “The Timothy House”.

Hank & Brenda Kunneman
>> Oral Roberts said that Hank Kunneman
was the most accurate prophet he had met
during his lifetime.

Hank told Dr. Murdock at lunch that there would be
a paradigm shift in his ministry:

The Timothy House:
>> Where his interns would live and train for minstry.

Within 90 days, God will give Dr. Murdock
A Timothy House to train Holy Ghost people
for the ministry.

A surprise conversation. 🙂

Hallelulajah!
Father, I claim surprise conversations in the next 48 hours
unlike anything we’ve had. Somebody’s husband is going to
come home and take his rightful place as the leader of that
household. Somebody’s going to have a conversation in the
next 7 days, with a college, they’re going to receive a
scholarship worth thousands and thousands of dollars.
Somebody’s about to get a raise because of a surprise
conversation.

Father, I ask You to receive our seeds for the Gospel. Between
now and Tuesday night, receive every seed planted on the website–
every seed planted in The Wisdom Center. Every seed–give us
A surprise conversation as our #1 harvest, in Jesus’s Name, for
Your glory. Amen.

To sow (besides Button 8 on the website), call:

The Scriptural number for “New”, “change”, “creativity” is “8”

There is somebody that has a reveleation about “The
Timothy House”. This is a God-thing with you. Someone
has a Word from God–not speculation. Drop a private
word to his email: DrMike@churchbyphone.com

Yes, he will be live tomorrow evening at 9pm CST.

Miss Amy Lira, just turned 21 years old, God has put
a remarkable mantle of wisdom on her life:

The surprise conversation is so huge, and she’s seen the glory
of it take place right in front of her. She says, “It is just God’s
way of showing off.”

Dr. Murdock:
It’s a believable harvest.
I like to only pray about things I can believe.
So I pick out a harvest that’s very believable for my faith.
I work with my faith, whether it’s at a “2” or a “10”
Because God doesn’t use His love to sculpture your future–
He uses my faith to build my future.
God uses my pain to create a change.
And God works with my faith to create a change.
Faith creates every significant change.
And any conversation that unleashes your faith is working for you.
Doubt creates losses as quickly as faith creates multiplication.

The Timothy House – where the interns will live
Young missionaries that are trained at the house.
Somebody just got an answer to prayer:
Somebody just got an answer as to where
they leave their money when they die…

[
Pastor Jeremy
]

“A surprise conversation to me, is really about opportunity…”
You never know who’s going to slip into your life and have
conversation with you.
And God always works through people.
If we can learn to discern–divine–a supernatural, surprise,
conversation, will lead us into the future God has created
for us. Our future is going to come through the Divine seed
of surprise conversation.

What Dr. Murdock is teaching us tonight is extremely
critical in the lives of the believer.

Whenever God does something, He’s going to speak.
And when He speaks to us (through a man or a woman
of God) we must learn to discern that.
A surprise conversation happens through the Divine
windows of Heaven being opened. And as God begins
to speak to us–as we embrace that conversation–it’s
there, whatever God has prepared for us.
For our future.
For our healing.
For our prosperity.
Whatever it might be.
With Divine conversation, you can think of so many things:
Divine access – the access it takes to be before a man of God.
The surprise conversation that Abraham had with God, when
he began to intercede on behalf of a nation. Look at the Divine
opportunity he had to speak with God–there was Divine judgement
on the way. God was literally walking the earth, to see if that
which He had in His heart, He was going to fulfill.

We know today that we can “come boldly to the throne of grace.”

We understand the power of intercession.

If we can embrace what the power of intercession can do–
look at Abraham’s conversation with God:
He knocked down the number to a small amount of righteous
people to withold judgement from an entire nation.
We can learn to intercede for nations.

Remember, after Jesus had risen from the dead, on
the Road to Emmaus.

We’d really be surprised to learn Who is listening in on
our conversations.

Are we communicating faith, victory?

Jesus said, “You slow to believe, didn’t you read what
the prophets had written?”
The disciples on the road, their conversation didn’t believe
the Word of God–it wasn’t full of faith.
And as disciples, we’ve got to keep our faith high.
Point your speech back to the Word of God.

Through Divine, surprise conversation–it is always
a mirror of our own walk with God.

“I just love the fact that [surprise conversations] are so tangible.”
In John 4 it talks about the surprise conversation with
the Samaritan woman.

And at the well, Jesus offered her an opportunity,
The woman’s world was changed completely.
She became an evangelist out of that conversation.
And if you receive the opportunity, God will change your life.
Be sensitive to the surprise conversation.
It’s so unexpected.
God says, “If you’re willing. I’ll show off…!”

Those who ask the questions determine the quality of the conversation.

Jesus opened up the conversation at the well with a question.

If we can be sensitive to what God has for us in surprise conversations.

[
Pastor Jeremy #2
]

The surprise conversation of the shepherd men
who went to visit the Baby Jesus.

“And I don’t know about you, but I’m so ready to
embrace the supernatural of God.”

Believe for supernatural conversation and confrontation.

Whether it be for angelic visitation that will help you
find your way in the kingdom.

There are so many “suddenlys”–surprise conversation
is every where.

And through Divine angelic conversation, these men who were
shepherding their flock went and saw Jesus just after he was born.

Perk our ears and perk our sensitivity to supernatural
conversation.

This is part of the Kingdom:
“you might entertain angels”

Suprise conversation.

Get ready for these kinds of conversations, because
God is always sending information our way.

Everything God does is information.

Open up our minds, open up our hearts for
God to communicate to us Divinely, supernaturally,
swiftly–through people just knocking on our door.

Pastor Jeremy had a surprise conversation 6-7 months
ago when he was in need of money, provision.

He had a car parked in his driveway that he wasn’t using,
and someone, just “out of the blue”–without any promotion
whatsoever–came up to his door and asked him if he was
selling that car. He said, “Well, as a matter of fact, I am…” 🙂

And within a few days, the title was signed over, and there
was cash in his hand, and God had met his need.

Through a surprise conversation.

Begin to expect Divine, supernatural, surprise conversation.

It’s how God works, it’s how He will continue.

Expect God to drop people into your life that bring Divine,
supernatural encounter, that will help to correct your life,
supply your need, do whatever is necessary.

God’s going to deliver it to you.

Surprise conversation.

It’s going to come and it’s going to give you the
information that you need. It’ll be the seed of
instruction that you need.

And God’ll do it swiftly, speedily, slipping it right
into your life–give you the surprise encounter
that you need. The Divine instruction that you need.

And He has promised it “to them that believe”.

You look at Dr. Murdock: his life has been full of
surprise conversation. People slipping right up to
him. Seed out of “nowhere” to bless his life.

Surprise conversation.

God is into surprise conversation.

We need to believe.

Let your faith and hope be built because God’s got
your need in mind, and He’s sending to you that
which you need.

Open up your ears and your mind, get your attitude right
that those you’re going to speak with–that God, when He
brings that Divine favor into your life; that you’re
approaching it correctly. And that those that you’re speaking
with, the Divine favor and people that God has appropriated
for your life will slip right in.

Prepare.

Get your expectation high.

It’s the hope, and the Biblical hope that we have–
this expectation for God to slip into your life, from
nowhere.

Our expectation can be high that you will have the conversation
that you need with God, from God, expect the conversation
you need to slip into your life, and God will open every door
that’s necessary for your life.

And it happens through surprise conversation.

We need to bless God for it.

We, by faith, need to embrace it.

God knows exactly where you’re at–what’s going on.

Allow Him to usher it into your life.

Divine, supernatural provision.

Divine, supernatural words, revelation.

God’s got it. We need to expect it.

And expect it through a surpirse conversation.

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah!

Glory to God, glory to God.

[
Miss Amy #3
]

Praise God.

Get excited with anticipation.

One of her greatest surprise conversations was when
she traveled to Monterey, Mexico to be with Dr.
Murdock and the School of Wisdom to support him.

She’d prior spoken to her parents, saying, “I really feel
that the Holy Spirit wants me to go to this meeting.”
So they prayed about it, and talked about it, they
supported her, and she went on that trip.

Going home, she had two options:
1) Go to another city in Mexico where her family was or
2) Go through Dallas / Ft. Worth airport & then goto church
that weekend.

She had just had a surprise conversation with Pastor
Monica Melgar, and Pastor Monica said, “Why don’t you
stay here for the week? We’ll make this week count.”

That week turned into a month, a year–and she never
went back home, but instead made Ft. Worth her new
home, and her parents even packed up her things from
her (old) home in Indianapolis, IN.

It changed her life forever.

There’s so many conversations that soothe, that
heal, that mend–conversations are a minstry.

They’re to ourselves, to each other, to our families.

Conversations are what preserve a relationship.
Conversations are so rich, but yet we take them
for granted–but they’re so profound.

The way God moves…

The way God can place people in our lives.

Church family, as this week is coming to a close, meditate about who the people are that you’re having a surprise conversation with.

Be sensitive to the voice of the Spirit.

Inventory your conversations.

Purge your environment of anything that could diminish those conversations.

Be in your secret place.

So much of what God does is because of our expectation.

God is just looking for a vessel willing to trust in Him.

[Pastor Jeremy]

Expectation is the beginning of our belief in God.

Expectation is necessary.

Believe for the impossible.

Let God be God in that area in your life.

9-10 months ago, God began to deal with Pastor Jeremy about a $1,000 seed. He was in the pulpit of his father’s church and really thought it was about somebody in tge audience. And it was just money that he did not have.

Then a few months later, Pastor Jeremy heard again from God about giving the $1,000 seed. He had just over $1,000 to his name. And he planted the $1,000 seed.

Your seed a schedules Divine, surprise conversation.

Everything God does, He does on a schedule–He is ordered.

After Pastor Jeremy planted that seed, things began to develop.

He got connected to Dr. Mike Smalley through his protege conferences, and eventually got up the courage to ask Dr. Smalley if he’d come and speak at Pastor Jeremy’s church in a small town in Iowa.

And he agreed to come, and Dr. Smalley came and shared and blessed Pastor Jeremy and his church.

About 2 months after Pastor Jeremy had planted the $1,000 seed (into his father’s church), he received a phone call from Dr. Mike Smalley. He had spoken with Pastor Jeremy previously about possibly working with Dr. Murdock, who was a hero to Pastor Jeremy, and he had thought to himself at the time, Well yes, that’d be a dream come true for anybody, to work for one of their dream-heroes.

And through seed that was sown, it created a Divine, surprise, supernatural conversation–to the point where Pastor Jeremy was called up out of nowhere(!) and Dr. Smalley called and said, “Brother Jeremy, can you make it up to The Wisdom Center tomorrow? Dr. Murdock is there and he would love to meet you.”

Pastor Jeremy said, “Yes, sir, I would love to be there!”

And he showed up there the next day, they gave him a time, they had a spot for him to sit, and a meeting with Dr. Murdock was scheduled….!

And his whole world–from a seed–his whole environment was completely, miraculously changed.

God is always the Supplier of surprise conversations.

Ladies and gentlemen, we need to be mindful of the words that we’re saying, because God is listening.

He’s monitoring our faith.
He’s monitoring our doubt.

Everything we do is conversation.

A conversation of our heart to our mind.

[A conversation between our mind, and our decisions]

Everything is conversation.

And as we obey God, He schedules Divine conversation with those that we need to be connected with.

Pay close attention to the conversation that you’re sending forth.

God is looking or grounds to bless us.
[“How much more…?]

But many times we simply have not qualified for his intended blessings.

And Pastor Jeremy’s present life–being connected to Dr. Murdock [teaching and preaching to us on Church By Phone right now]–is all the result of listening to God, and planting a seed.

Seed schedules a Divine conversation.

And we’re thankful for it tonight.

[Dr. Murdock begins speaking]

Praise God…!

Dr. Murdock is going to be publishing a book on this material of “a surprise conversation”.

Pastor Kunneman earlier [on Sunday] pulled out Dr. Murdock’s book “A Young Minister’s Handbook”, which he’d written in his mid-thirties. And Pastor Kunneman also pulled out a 1st-edition copy of the book “Dream Seeds”, which Dr. Murdock had written 27 year ago (1986-87).

In that book, Dr. Murdock shares about the conversation that God had with him about the pain that he’d had in his life, and what would come out of it–because he’d wanted to leave the ministry.

There’s thousands of preachers today who have stayed in the ministry, or returned to the ministry, because of a surprise conversation.

And The Lord has emphasized the “positive” side of the surprise conversation, so that’s what we’ll focus on.

You’re one conversation away from a radical change in your life.

Joy is one conversation away.

Ask the woman at the well of Samaria.

The healing of an incurable disease is one conversation away:
– read Dr. Lester Sumerall’s life story
– read Oral Roberts’s story about the healing of his tuberculosis

There was a little house-maiden who lived in the house of Namaan, the Assyrian leper (who was also a General).

The surprise conversation may come from someone who is below your economic standard.

Don’t ever think that mentorship is downward.

Don’t ever think that the protege is inferior to the mentor.

Rather, it has to do with the process of information, knowledge, understanding.

The house-maiden emptied the trash, mopped the floors–but mentored Namaan on how to get his healing.

The surprise conversation came from below the economic standard.

It is a God thing that conversation may come from any direction of your life.

It may come from a child–like Samuel, who heard the voice of God and thought it was the voice of the High Priest, Eli, who was the mentor for Samuel chosen by his mother, Hannah.

By the way, we want to do a shout-out for Hannah Faith Griffin.

That’s Prophet Marquez’s, along with Marguerite, his wife’s beautiful, beautiful baby girl , who was just born.

We decree and declare angels surrounding that child.

But God spoke to the young child, Samuel.

Your conversation may come late at night, when nobody’s around.

You may be the only person that receives that surprise conversation.

A surprise conversation may be regarding the future of somebody that you love.

A surprise conversation may need to be kept discreet, quiet.

Like Jonathan and David, where Jonathan couldn’t tell his father Saul that he knew where David was hiding.

A surprise conversation is always for your protection.

A Surprise Conversation

Dr. Murdock has a passion
to teach us the Laws of God

When God does something
good for you, it’s natural to
want to pour it out into others.

Jesus says, “Freely you
have received, freely give.”

We entered the
world as receivers:
We received life
We received love, affection, caring
Somebody held us
Somebody stroked us
Somebody kissed us
Somebody laughed,
and smiled at us

That’s how we
got here this far.

It’s taken the contributions
of many people to develop
you to where you are today.

The more you understand that,
the more thankful you’ll become.

The more thankful you become,
the more you’ll attract good things
from people that’ll want to sow into
where they’ll see a return on their
investment >> ROMI:
Return On My Investment

It’s a very strong
core of God’s view.

It is a philosophy, but it’s one
that you’ll have to understand.

It’s why when Jesus told the
parable of the men with the
talents: one had 10, another
had 5, another 1 — it’s why
God was so angry when He
did not see a return on His
investment [with the one]

Tonight, we’re going to
continue to go over:

A Surprise Conversation

notes

You can create it by reaching for God
You can create it when you repent.

God impressed Dr. Murdock that this
Surprise Conversation is so powerful
because it’s believable–it merely takes a mustard-
seed sized bit of faith to move a mountian.

[
Opening
prayer]
Holy Spirit I thank You today for a magnificent, magnificent, incredible, glorious, glorious world of miracles that we’ve entered into when we accepted You as our Savior, our Master, our Lord. There was instant reaction from You…when we reached for You, You breathed life into us. An indescribable peace. Such a glory, in fact, that some of us were mesmerized, and didn’t know how to resond to You. Some of us wept, and cried. Some of us had prayer-language experiences with You–almost in a trance.

We did not know how to respond to You. All we knew is that there was an unspeakable change in our hearts. Thank You, Holy Spirit for our brethren, for our friends. And I pray for those involved in different belief systems. That’s all they know. They will not know you unless you go and visit them and touch them.
I ask You in the Name of Jesus to breathe fresh air, breathe deep conviction, breathe revelation on every atheist in America between now and April the 9th. I ask you Lord for surprise conversations. Surprise conversations.

Lord it’s up to You–schedule. Lord, stir us to initiate surprise conversations that bring radical changes in our lives. We are puzzled over your interest in us. We’ve been told that its just a psychological reaction of humans. We’re learning how to choose the picture we believe–choose the promise we are wanting in that moment. Lord, give us such a glorious picture of what You want us to become. We want to be authentic. Really true to the original picture You had of us. We’re open–desperate even–to Your Word. We have an intense passion to walk in truth. We want our faith to be contagious. To light up the darkness in us. We want to walk in solidarity, strong, purposeful. Savor ing, tasting the glorious wine of the Spirit–the glorious provision of Your Presence. We’re starved for You ,Lord. We’re receivers of Your blood, mercy, forgiveness, Your warnings, cautions. We’re receivers of the guardian angels You’ve placed around believers. We believe. Amen. Amen. Praise God. Praise God.

Everything God does is through talking.
He called Himself the Word.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue.
The Tongue, A Creative Force by Charles Capps

Speak what God said instead of what you think.

Napoleon Hill

The laws by which we govern our lives is different than just an experience with us.

The “kitchen” is different than the “bathroom”.
>> the “kitchen” of the ministry (TD Jakes)
– Where you create the food is different from where you eat the food.

The Kingdom of God is like that…

There are God encounters that are glorious, wonderful
But the laws of the Kingdom require obedience to receive the fruit of that law

Broken laws have an attraction to the flesh

Psalms 112 (it has been on Dr. Murdock’s mind today…)

This is where God began to show him the laws of God

The Law of Focus

The Law of Relationship

Somebody knows what you don’t know

The business world calls it “networking”

God does everything through conversation

A sermon, confession, prayer — all are conversation

Every conversation is a seed – a seed for faith, or a seed for unbelief

The effect, the fruit of doubt and unbelief is generational
>> you don’t have to get bitten from 1,000 snakes to die
>> you don’t need but 1 lie to go from paradise to the pit

There’s a ludicrous statement that says, “It’ll all just work out.”
– What??

Look at what’s happened through conversation.

Look thru history at surprise conversations.

Civil Rights

Rosa Parks had a surprise conversation .

She refused to give up her seat.

People came here (to the United States) for freedom of religion
Somewhere along the line it devolved

But we have slavery (not servants, but slaves that were like property, or cattle…)

Somebody started to have a conversation about this.

We got into a Divine conversation and our values, our character radically changed.

Around 1900 on Azusa St in LA, CA
– men found themselves prostrate on the floor, speaking out all these sounds from their lips

What is this

“This is that which was spoken by the prophet, Joel…”

William Brannum

Oral Roberts

Jack Coe

There’s going to be 10 days of surprise conversations

Focus births blindness.
If you’re focused north, you can’t see other directions.

So we need others to help us to see things that we can’t.

God will send somebody with a surprise conversation/confrontation
>> like the prophet who knocked on David’s door about David killing Uriah after sleeping with his wife

Conversations have brought the best out of you

Surprise conversations brought you to Jesus
Surprise conversations brought you into the baptism of the Holy Spirit

Look for them
Embrace them

They’re there to bring you to greatness

There’s been two experiences

One was when he was 8 years old,
And another was 10 years old.

“The horses” that he lied about owning.

“The spelling test” when he was 8.
There were 2-3 words he couldn’t spell.
And he had a piece of paper with those 2-3
words on them in case the teacher asked.
The teacher saw them and said, “Stay after school.”
After school, the teacher said, “I am so disappointed in you
that you would cheat on this spelling test…”
That brought conviction to him, because he realized
he’d lost the teachers favor.

Remember, you’re the CEO of your life.

You are a company.

It’s your decisions that decide your pain, your favor, your life.

You’re the CFO.

You decide what you buy,

Everything is paid for.

The only difference is currency.

You may pay for it in love, time, money, or something else.

And you’re the CIO

It is your responsibility to enter conversation.

What are you willing to learn about, know about?

What are you willing to change?

Who’s conversation helped me to get back to God?

Who helped me to get back on track?

God changes your life by the conversations that you enter.

Who is willing to receive my mentorship?

Who invested in you?

Have you shown honor?

A conversation.

Who brought your life into order?

What conversation have you ignored?
You belittled it.
You showed disinterest.

God keeps those who want to be kept.

What conversations have you been avoiding?

God may send someone to warn you.

Be very, very careful.

Don’t ignore the threats.

The Bible says those who would bless Abraham would be blessed, and those that curse Abraham would be cursed.

Oh God, let me hear the conversations You have ordained for my life.

Whoever You send to talk to me, I will listen.

Get back in line with God’s Word.

God will use a multitude of people to keep us on-track.

Embrace whoever’s voice He uses.

Have you made a vow, a faith-promise to God?
A conversation–a surprise conversation
may awaken you to a promise you’d made.

Don’t ignore the conversations that God sends to you.
You’re one surprise conversation away from changing your life.

A Surprise Conversation #4 – 10 Days of Surprise Conversations

A Surprise Conversation
Thurs 04-04-13
Church By Phone

This weekend, April the 7th, Dr. Murdock
will be at “Lord of Host” in Omaha, NE.

Dr. Murdock will have some recordings
available online for us for when he’s in Africa.

The strongest thing in his heart today is
the power of a surprise conversation.

You can make a conversation
a surprise conversation.

When I think of a surprise
conversation I think of
one unscheduled.

Something happening in the
conversation that was unplanned.

We’re getting word from everywhere.
From all over the world.

(Dr. Murdock will be in England
in a few months, weeks even).

You’re life can’t change if you
can’t have a conversation with
yourself or with somebody else.

The only thing God does is talk.

And He expects you to govern
your world with your mouth.

Your mouth’ll open doors
and it’ll shut doors.

The simplest difference
between a wise person &
a fool is what they say–
something they say.

The Bible says “a fool
uttereth all he knows,
but a wise man will
contain it until the
appropriate time.”

It’s called timing.

God does everything with
His mouth, and He expects
me to run my world with my
mouth.

Not “ruin” my world with my mouth.

Take the “i” [ “I” 😉 ] out of “ruin”

Govern your environment
with your conversation.

Silence is often a strategy to
rob you of needed information.

I despise the reaction of
silence when I ask a question.

I stop talking to people
who stop listening.

I consider my conversation to
be a major investment of my life.

I give my highest thoughts,
concentrated experiences.

I’ve take the cream of
67 years of my life and
thrusting it into a conversation
that should radically improve
a person’s world.

Stopping pain, preventing pain,
and multiplying a pleasurable
experience in my life.

I’m obsessed with pleasure.

I was created for that.

I’m made in the image of God.
Revelation 4:11

Everything God did was for pleasure.
Everything He created was for pleasure.

God expected you to have an
interest in pleasure–in fact
He uses pleasure as a motivation
for submission to Him, obedience to Him.

Men don’t serve God for one reason:
they think that it’ll stop their pleasure.

But God said, Where your “stupid”
comes in is what you think will pleasure you.

The Law of the Bittersweet:

God offers bitter first, and sweet forever.
But satan offers sweet first & bitterness forever.

The bitter moments with God are turning points.

The bitter seasons with satan is a lifestyle.
You experience pleasure for a moment.

A conversation should be a happy experience,
either in the immediate or in the hereafter.

If you’re confronted in a conversation–
meaning something you said or did
needed to be addressed and stopped.

If your mother and father confronted
you, it meant that they were trying to
stop, shorten or prevent pain the pain
of the future. And they wanted to make
it possible for you to experience pleasure.

That’s why a husband
and wife confront each other.

Dr. Murdock is personally not hesitant
about confrontation–it comes easily to him.

Conversation can be gracious, it can be gentle.

You know a [gentle] stroke and
a slap are two different things.

There’s confrontations that are coarse,
crude, rude, and brutal.

And there’s confrontations that are gentle,
kind, non-dangerous.

Who doesn’t love to be stroked?

We all love pleasure.

Who’s perverted enough to love pain?

The God Who made the
monkey knows how to laugh.

The God Who made the cheetah,
knows the power of speed, is
pleasured by speed.

The God Who made the mountains
is pleasured by beauty.

God Who made woman is
pleasured by sex.

He called Himself the Word.

He listens attentively, accurately,
perceptively–He’s perfection.

He knows you.

There’s no distortion in His character.

He says “death and life are in
the power of the tongue.”

(A preacher said to Dr. Murdock,
“I hope you didn’t tweet
that to everybody…??”

>> in response to his tweet
[to everybody]:
“Laziness is unsexy”–
and if you read Prov 31,
you’ll find a woman who
is incredibly sensuous.
She was productive.)

“Surprise Conversations

#1 Was when Rebecca sees a man with a need.
>> Not a man she could
manipulate, and to coax,
“You got a little money…?”
>> She’s not the woman that’ll
come up to you and say, “You
know, my phone got turned off.
That’s why I didn’t return your
phone call…because my phone
got turned off…!”
> Knowing that a man would
say, “Well, how much does it cost
for you to turn it back on?” 😉
> Neither did she say,
“Well, my camel got killed last
week. I wish I had a camel…”
– No, this woman wasn’t looking
for a problem-solver to hook up
with.
> To give him a little “sugar”
so he’d give her a little cash.
– This woman said, I want to
become your problem-solver.

She initiated a surprise conversation.

It’s always a surprise conversation that
some wants to solve a problem with.

#2 When Jesus walked up and a woman
had just been caught in the act of
adultery, and was about to be stoned
to death.
– And Jesus said, Let him who’s without sin
cast the first stone. All you guys–all you
guys…
– And then He stooped down and wrote
something in the sand.
> What did he write?
Dr. Murdock thinks it was:
“Where’s the man?”
– And after they’d all left, Jesus
asked her where her accusers were &
then said, Go and sin no more.

A surprise conversation where you
release somebody from the penalty
of their mistake. And remove it.

Why don’t you release somebody?

Why don’t you let go of somebody?

A famous man, Ralph Carmichael.
> known all throughout the world:
The Ralph Carmichael Symphony
> took some of Dr. Murdock’s
songs and began to arrange, and
to play them.
– he owed Dr. Murdock a lot of money
> a lot of money
– he flew all the way to Dallas to discuss it
– his company was going bankrupt
– he said, “Mike, I don’t know when I
can pay you–maybe two years…maybe
a year and a half. And I want to apologize
for owing you money, and I’ve never had
this kind of turn-down in my business…”

– And Dr. Murdock looks at this patriarch
of the Gospel
> a man with poise and dignity
> the man was “world-class” personified
– Dr. Murdock was 36 years old, and said,
“Oh, Mr. Carmichael, I’m so thankful that
you even put my songs out.”
> I’ll cancel all of your debt to me,
all of your debt. You don’t owe me a thing.
Anything we can do.”

Forgiveness makes conversations unforgettable.

Forgiveness thrusts a burden of compensation on us.
Dr. Murdock: “Ever since I found out got
forgave me, I’ve been trying to be perfect…”

You don’t ever forget forgiveness.

Some surprise conversations
expose the hidden deception
in the character of those you
do business with.

All pain contains irreplaceable wisdom
that can last you a lifetime.

Pain is a motivator.

Pain drives you to God.

Look at the prodigal son when he was
in the pigpen, and he said to himself,
“My father’s servants eat better than this.”
And the rest was history….

[prayer]
Father, You fascinate us. You fascinate us. Oh, we enjoy You. Oh, we enjoy You! We enjoy You. Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for a surprise conversation. Bring us radical changes. Thank You, thank You, thank You! Thank You, thank You, thank You, thank You. Thank You, thank You… There’s nobody like the Lord, is there? There’s nobody like Him.

Soak up love–He’s your river. Soak Him up. Bathe in Him. Bathe in Him!

The Holy Spirit is not only a person, the Holy Spirit is a place: in Him we live, we move, we have our being…

This is going to the greatest year of your lifetime.

This is the greatest year ever scheduled by the Holy Spirit in your lifetime.

You should be journaling 3 inspirations a day.

God will discuss anything that bothers you.

He’s not like the lawyer that can’t pull your tooth.

He’s not like the dentist who can’t tell you how to dress.

God’s not like the chef who can’t prepare the food you love.

He will perfect everything that concerns you.

There’s nobody like Him.

Say these words right where you’re sititing:

” I will birth surprise conversations for others.”

Say it again.

Dr. Murdock was sitting, waiting for a limousine to pick him up for a conference. And he doesn’t like waiting. He’s sitting there for one solid hour, sitting there thinking. And he remembered a friend of his who’d gone through a divorce two years prior, and Dr. Murdock had been friends with both of them, but had only spoken with the man, not the woman.

So he pulled out his phone and called her, and the phone rang and rang and rang. And Dr. Murdock thought, This is nuts!

Finally, a small ,faint, very weak voice whispered into the phone, “Hello?”
He said, “Is this ________?”
And she, emotionless, said, ” Yes.”
Dr. Murdock said, “I was sitting here thinking about you, and the Holy Spirit prompted me to call you.”
And she began to cry and cry, and sob on the telephone. She sobbed.
She said, “Mike, I’m holding a bottle of sleeping pills in my hand. And I had just decided to take them. All of them. I’d already taken the top off of the bottle–and the phone rang. And it’s you.”

A surprise conversation.

Did you ever read Ken Gaub’s book entitled, “God Has Your Number“?

You’ve gotta read that book.

Ken Gaub rode his ministry through two big city busses.
They were way out on a desert highway, and they were looking for food, and finally they found a little restaurant way out in the middle of nowhere.

Everybody filed out of the busses to go eat, but Ken said, “I felt like, for some reason, I shouldn’t eat. So I decided to just pray.” So he went off to pray in a little area beside the road next to the restaurant. Ken began to pray in the Spirit in that area, when all of sudden, out of the clear blue, a phone rings. Ken thinks to himself, A phone? Where is there a phone way out here?

He looks around, and there’s a phone right there. There’s a public telephone, over on the side of where he was praying out in the parking lot. He looks around and nobody else is there. He walks over there to the phone, picks it up, “Hello?”

And a voice cried and said, “Hello? Hello? Hello…hello? Is this Ken Gaub?”

On a telephone–in the middle of the desert, here in the United States!

He’s shocked. He says, “Yes it is…who is this?”
She says, “Is this Ken Gaub, the evangelist, of Ken Gaub Ministries??”
He says, “Yes.”
She began to cry and she says, “I’m a drug addict, and I was fixin to commit suicide,” and she says, “And I cried out to God! I cried to God! And God gave mr these numbers to write down. And I wrote the numbers down that the Spirit told me, and called them…”.

She had no idea it was through a public telephone booth, on the side of the road, of a little restaurant. And that Ken Gaub was driving, and had just stopped at that restaurant.

And Ken Gaub wrote a book about it, “God Has Your Number”.

God knows your pain.

God knows where you struggle.

God’s not offended with your reaching for Him.

God’s not embarrassed when you reach for Him.

God’s not perplexed when you need an answer.

Saturday Dr. Murdock flies to
Omaha, Nebraska for Sunday’s
services. And Tuesday on the
9th of April, he will leave for
Germany, to go to Lagos,
Nigeria, on to Port Harcourt,
then to Abuja.

The Spirit of God told Dr. Murdock a few nights ago that
there was going to be 10 days of surprise conversations.

Not just God to you.

God’s going to send somebody to talk to you.

God’s going to send you to talk to somebody.

Kids will call. People will get raises at work.

Don’t believe it? Journal it.

Journal it.

There’s an atheist girl, Natalie, on
Twitter who really hates Dr. Murdock’s
ministry.

Dr. Murdock decided to ask God to
“shake her world up”.

[In fact, pray for] By April the 9th, her and
every U.S. atheist to have a Divine encounter.

A surprise conversation for atheists in America(!)

God loves to listen.

And He loves to talk. If He finds somebody
to listen, He’ll talk all night.

He’s never boring.

He’s fascinating.

Say:

“I receive a surprise conversation by April the 9th.”

Father, some will not hear this until the last day.
Give them another ten days. Those who do not
find out about this until [after] the 9th, give them
an extended period of time to have a Divine
encounter. In Jesus’s Name. Amen.

Praise God, praise God.

Dr. Murdock:
“Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.”

Dr. Murdock has been invited to two major
conferences for leaders in Nigeria.

Every August & September for the past 10 years,
Dr. Murdock, along with T.D. Jakes and others,
has preached at the “Gathering of Champions”
Conference, in London.

Thank you for caring, thank you
for making it possible. Thank you.

Dr. Murdock is going to South
Africa at the end of April, and then
going back to Nigeria to build a church
in the month of May.

Become part of the ” Nigeria 300 ”

Investment.

ROMI – return on my investment

Thinking like an investor:
Not what will happen to today,
but what will happen tomorrow?

Like Sam Walton investing in what
a company will look like a year from
now, or the Japanese companies that
have 100-year, or even a 300-year goal.

Plant a seed.

Invest in God’s Kingdom.

Invest in the people doing God’s
work on the earth.
